Peter Lafley, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lafley is the Chief Financial Officer for SPARKS and Customer Care
Solutions. He is responsible for the overall financial integrity for
both companies and runs the accounting and treasury departments to insure
that the revenues and expenses are fairly represented. In addition to
those duties he is also responsibility for the companies’ insurance
programs and is versed in risk management.
Mr. Lafley joined SPARKS and Customer Care Solutions in 2002 and since
then quickly reorganized the accounting structure to streamline the
operations and has accelerated the financial reporting process so that
the President can react on a timely basis to emerging trends. He also
reviewed the insurance programs and placed some new coverage while reducing
the cost. A new review panel for worker’s compensation was installed
which he heads. This led to a reduction in the severity of claims which
has reduced the premiums paid out and the overall cost of the program.
Prior to joining SPARKS and Customer Care Solutions Mr. Lafley was
a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a large Mid-Atlantic
car rental company. During his seventeen years there his ever increasing
responsibilities included bank loan negotiations, financial reporting,
investing, capital expenditures, budgeting, risk management, administrative
policy and computer operations.
His first seven years in business were spent in accounting and finance
as an Assistant Controller at the International Headquarters of Marriott
Corporation. Here he learned the many disciplines in the accounting
and finance field he would use elsewhere in his career.
Peter has his Bachelor of Science from the Benjamin Franklin School
of Accounting, George Washington University. He is a combat veteran
in the U.S. Marine Corp.
