Job Tips

A SPARKS Employee...

Reports To All Assignments On Time

Plan to arrive a few minutes early. If an emergency delays you or prevents you from following through with your commitment, call our office at once. SPARKS is your employer. We will notify our client. Do not call our client directly.

Wears Appropriate Office Attire

Professional business attire makes the best impression on the first day of a new assignment because it gives you that opportunity to judge what attire is appropriate for that particular office. When we call you about an assignment, we will inform you if our client specifies a particular dress code.

Does The Best Job Possible

Occasionally you may find yourself on an assignment not as stimulating as others. Since you will be there for a temporary period of time, it is best to show professionalism by doing a top quality job. A routine assignment done well may often attract more interesting special assignments from an appreciative company. If you have a serious problem, call us but do not immediately leave the job. We will work with you to resolve the problem. Cooperation, a smile and a willing attitude go a long way in making each job a pleasant experience.

Shows Initiative

The best employees are often requested back or have their assignments extended.

Leave Our Phone Number With Relatives For Emergencies

Our number may be left with relatives or others who may need to reach you. We will relay their message to you. We ask that you return personal calls only during your lunch break. Be sure to call us with your extension number whenever you report to an assignment.

Checks In With Us Frequently

It is important that we hear from you when an assignment ends. We will work with you quickly to find another assignment. If you are available and want to work, please call often.

Gives A Few Days Notice Before Leaving

If you cannot continue an assignment for any reason, the courtesy of a few days notice is necessary in order to find your replacement. If you leave to take a permanent job, your new employer will understand the need for your advance notice to us; they will expect the same courtesy when you leave that job. Remember, as your employer, we are asked to give reference information on you regarding not only job performance and attendance, but also good employee characteristics such as reliability, responsibility and cooperative attitude.

Direct Placement Job Opportunities

If you decide to seek a full-time job, SPARKS will be happy to assist with no cost or obligation to you. Just be sure to let one of our Staffing Supervisors know.
